About the Program
The MS degree program in Supply Chain Management (MSSCM) at the Fox School of Business is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in supply chain management, including supply chain analytics, logistics, procurement, inventory management, operations, and distribution. The 30 credit curriculum will enable students with diverse academic backgrounds to step into successful positions at graduation. Our MSSCM program is offered entirely online, with the flexibility to accommodate full time students as well as working professionals enrolled part-time. An attractive feature of the program is that students can select optional mini-tracks including information systems, data analytics, or a management track. The program is suitable for students at various stages of their careers, such as new college grads, others with some work experience who are looking to switch careers, as well as supply chain professionals who seek greater options and higher-level employability.
Time Limit for Degree Completion: 6 years
Campus Location: Online. Each course is delivered online over either half or full semesters. Every week, students participate in live and collaborative web-conferencing sessions with faculty and classmates (evenings). Additional coursework and activities are required throughout the period.
Full-Time/Part-Time Status: The degree program can be pursued on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Affiliation(s): Research interests of Fox faculty are supported by numerous centers and institutes throughout the Fox School and Temple University.
Job Prospects: The Fox Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) provides students with career coaching and professional development resources that support the job search. Graduates can expect to be qualified for such positions as:

Non-Matriculated Student Policy: This program requires the student to be matriculated in the degree program or graduate certificate program.
Financing Opportunities: Citizens and permanent residents of the United States are considered domestic students and are typically eligible for federal student loans and alternative loans through private lenders. The Fox School grants 5% tuition scholarships to alumni who are admitted to the program.

Letters of Reference:
Number Required: 1
From Whom: Professional references from an immediate supervisor, current or past, is preferred. An academic reference is acceptable. If self-employed, a reference from a client is permissible.
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: The equivalent of a four-year U.S. baccalaureate degree from an accredited university or college is required. For three-year degrees, an evaluation of mark sheets may be required by WES or another NACES organization.

Standardized Test Scores:
GRE/GMAT: Required. Scores may be requested based on the applicant's academic and/or professional background. Candidates with an undergraduate GPA below 3.0 are required to submit valid GMAT or GRE test scores. Consult an admissions advisor with any questions.
A test score of academic English, such as the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or Duolingo test, is required if you have not earned a bachelor's or graduate (master's or doctoral) degree from a U.S. institution. Test scores must be reported by the testing service to Temple University within two years of the test date.

Waiver Eligibility: Note that if you earned your undergraduate or graduate degree from a country in which English is a commonly used language, this requirement may be waived. The admissions department automatically reviews for waiver eligibility at application submission with review of your academic history.
Resume: Current resume or CV is required.
Interview: Candidates are invited to interview virtually. Interviews are required on a case-by-case basis.

Transfer Credit: Upper-level graduate credits from an AACSB-accredited graduate business program, but not previously applied to a conferred degree, may be transferred into the MS program. The credits must be part of the required degree program at Temple University. To be transferred, the grade must be a "B" or better. The Admissions Committee makes recommendations for transferring credits to the department chair. The maximum number of credits a student may transfer is 6.

With the approval of the Academic Director on a case-by-case basis, MS students in Supply Chain Management can substitute SCM 5182 Independent Study for one of the five program classes designated SCM or MSOM. SCM 5182 Independent Study requires approval of the Department Chair and/or Academic Director. The independent study will be supervised by the Academic Director.

BA 5687 may be waived based on prior academic or professional preparation. Students must consult with the Academic Director to determine if they meet the waiver requirements.

STAT 5001 and/or MSOM 5001 can be waived if a student has taken an equivalent graduate level Statistics or Operations Management class from an AACSB institution within the last 5 years with a grade of B or better (syllabus required to determine equivalency). If either or both are waived, the student will need to fulfill the program's 30-credit-hour requirement by taking additional program-approved electives.
