Overview

The Minor in Illustration and Emerging Media (IEM), facilitated by the Department of Design and Illustration at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture, presents a unique opportunity for Temple University undergraduates across various disciplines to enrich their educational experience. While students majoring in Graphic and Interactive Design, User Experience and User Interface Design, and Illustration and Emerging Media are ineligible, this program is designed to complement and enhance the skill sets of students from other majors, offering them valuable insights into the illustration world.

Requirements

Students must earn a minimum grade of C- in courses satisfying minor requirements and must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average in the required 18 credits to earn the minor.

  • At least half of the courses for the minor must be taken at Temple University.
  • Courses for the minor must be completed prior to graduation.
  • A student may double count any course for the Minor in Illustration and Emerging Media towards any other major, minor, or certificate.
